Dr. Yahaira Castro is a Clinical Sexologist, Licensed Mental Health Counselor and President of Mental Health of Miami Inc. She obtained her Doctorate degree from the International Institute of Clinical Sexology with a concentration in Clinical Sexology. Dr. Castro also obtained a Master’s Degree from Carlos Albizu University, specializing in Mental Health Counseling. Dr. Castro began her training in South Florida hospitals working with patients presented with Traumatic Brain Injuries and Alzheimer's Disease. Soon after, she worked at a private practice providing therapeutic services to toddlers, teens, adults, and  geriatric populations. Throughout her career, she has worked with individuals with the following diagnoses: Neurodevelopmental issues, Depression, Anxiety, Sexual Dysfunctions, Personality Disorders, and a broad range of mental health disorders found in the DSM-5. In 2014, she began working with special needs patients which was where she found her passion for special needs children. She is also certified in Hypnosis, EMDR, Sex Therapy and Reiki.
