Melanie Viera was born and raised in Miami, Florida.  Melanie is a student at Carlos Albizu University, where she is pursuing a degree in Mental Health Counseling. Melanie obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a minor in Criminal Justice from Florida International University. Melanie’s parents emigrated from Cuba to the United States; she is a first-generation Cuban-American. She decided to pursue a profession in the field of psychology, due to her passion for Mental Health and desire to make a positive impact in her client’s lives. Melanie is determined to deliver guidance to her clients by employing positive language, practicing mindfulness, and utilizing holistic approaches. Her ultimate goal is to serve her community as best as possible and to raise awareness regarding the importance of Self-Care and Mental Health.
